Ludivine Sagnier is a French actress and model. She won numerous awards for her sterling performances in Petite Lili and 8 femmes. Her stellar performance in 8 femmes earned her the Romy Schneider Award, which is given annually to a promising young French actress. She was also nominated for Cesar Awards, the French Equivalent of the Oscar; and was named as one of the Shooting Stars by European Film Promotion in 2001.
Ludivine was born on July 3, 1979 in La Celle-Saint-Cloud, in the Yvelines département and she took acting classes at a very young age. This stunning beauty started off her career at the tender age of 10 in movies, "Je veux rentrer a la maison" and "Les maris, les femmes, les amants". Since then she never looked back and acted in a number of movies such as "Petite Lili La", Ian Simpson’s "Toothache", "Swimming Pool", and P. J. Hogan's "Peter Pan" in which she plays the mischievous fairy, Tink. Ludivine Sagnier has also worked with French filmmaker François Ozon and acted in "Water Drops on Burning Rocks" and "8 Women." In all, this amazing actress, as of January 2007 had acted in 36 movies, of which eight are television movies. Whatever roles she was given ranging from romance, humor and to nudity this multi-talented actress did it with elegance and ease, winning awards and accolades. |
